In 2023, Folk Media Peru reached an exciting milestone as we officially became a recognized nonprofit organization in the State of Texas, marking a new chapter of growth and opportunity. This year was defined by strengthened cultural programming, increased community visibility, and deeper engagement with families across Austin. We expanded our educational initiatives, enriched our artistic offerings, and hosted meaningful cultural events that celebrated Peruvian heritage on a larger scale.
Our programs reached more children, youth, and adults than ever before, reinforcing our mission to empower communities through art, dance, and cultural education. 2023 set the foundation for long-term sustainability, opening the door for greater impact, new collaborations, and a stronger cultural presence throughout Texas.
